I'm a Featured Artist at Whopple.com

Growing up, I don't remember learning how to draw......I just always did. I can recall drawing endless portraits of horses, dogs and cats when I was as young as 3 or 4. I studied art in school, in classes at the Worcester Art Museum and have a B.A. in Fine Arts from the College of the Holy Cross. After graduation, I pursued business and professional interests which left little time or space for artistic pursuits.

Hence I did very little artwork until about three years ago when I decided to take up pastel painting on an extended vacation in Wellfleet. I have been "painting New England" ever since, focusing on contemporary landscape painting with occasional forays into other subjects. My work is entirely in soft pastels and I have taken workshops and/or studied with noted pastel artists Maggie Price, Terry Ludwig, Donna Rossetti-Bailey and Heidi Mayo.

Generally I paint what I think of as "the forgotten landscape either en plein air or in the studio from my own reference photos.
